An Introduction to Buddhism

This course is meant for beginning students looking for a broader vantage point of Buddhist traditions and a refined understanding of the basics Buddhist concepts that are present throughout each of those traditions.

  • What lineage do you practice?  
These are questions often asked from one practitioner to another. Buddhism’s landscape is broad and rich.  Yet, there are concepts and tenants that are consistent throughout Buddhist lineages.  In this course, we will take a surface look into these commonalities and in the process, we will gain perspective on Buddhism's origins and its family tree.
